Poques vegades havia baixat a l’estació de Trinitat Vella de la línia vermella. El camí fins l’antiga presó va ser com descobrir un món nou, molta immigració paquistaní i àrab fins a arribar a l’esplanada de davant la presó. Plena a vessar sobretot de gent del barri. Un concert molt íntim d’un Paco Ibáñez gran i amb la veu tocada però que es feia acompanyar la mar de bé de les veus del públic. Més enllà de l’anècdota de l’esbroncada a Jordi Hereu, els moments àlgids de la nit van ser quan va cantar “Andaluces de Jaen”, “Palabras para Julia”, “A galopar”, “Me queda la palabra” i “El lobito bueno”. Ah i una anèdota final, just abans de marxar em vaig acostar a l’antiga presó i un senyor estava explicant els seus records: “Jo venia aquí a examinar presos joves. Quan entraves, era impressionant com se t’anaven tancant les portes al darrera: s’obria la del davant i es tancava la del darrera i així fins a set vegades”.
