Hauríeu d’haver vist el contrast entre els dos grups d’italians residents a Barcelona que avui s’han trobat cara a cara al moll oriental del port.
Uns estaven al Palacruceros, un palau que jo no havia vist mai que està al port davant la muntanya de Montjuïc. És un edifici-carpa de disseny que el consulat d’Itàlia ha llogat per commemorar la Festa de la República Italiana.
L’altre grup ha arribat en bici des de la plaça de la Carbonera i s’ha col·locat al moll encarat a la molt elegant festa, amb la pancarta que veieu a dalt.
El motiu de la protesta era denunciar “la gran ineficiència del consulat” que no s’ha adaptat al gran creixement de la comunitat italiana de Barcelona (un 750% en pocs anys).
Segons m’han explicat el Consulat pateix un col·lapse constant i sovint et recomanen que vagis a fer els tràmits directament a Itàlia. A més, han convertit el número d’informació telefònica en un servei de pagament i ara costa 1,51€ cada minut. Els organitzadors de la protesta demanen que el servei deixi de ser de pagament i una cita amb el cònsul per trobar maneres de fer més eficient el funcionament del consulat.
Els que protestaven portaven la imatge de “la Santa Sconsolatta” amb missatges arribats al web www.sconsolati.org dels problemes que tenen els italians de Barcelona amb el Consulat.
I van fer una lectura de divertides lletanies a la Santa.
Quan jo ja marxava la festa s’ha animat encara més amb l’arribada de la policia portuària i de dos guàrdies civils, moment en que la protesta s’ha dissolt pacíficament. Tot plegat una escena molt italiana: passava en un punt que és com el no res de Barcelona, al moll oriental i el contrast entre els dos grups era gairebé de pel·lícula!
